About me

By , March 4, 2010 3:03 PM

My name is Brett, and I am a woman, not a man. :) While uni-sex names are popular today, they were not when I was born, 54 years ago, so I’ve a lifelong habit of not wanting to be mistaken for a boy. I live in the fast vanishing country north of Raleigh NC with my husband and several children who come and go. I’ve raised six, birthed four, and have one still living at home … sometimes. I raise dogs (Australian Shepherds), ducks (Indian Runners) and have had in the past practically every type of farm critter you can imagine, sans cows. I have great enthusiasm for many things which keeps me somewhat overwhelmed much of the time. I enjoy photography, writing, quilting, and most of all, stories. Everyone’s story. Your story. I love genuine people and being real and I hope that this blog will prove to be a place where “real” give and take will occur! Welcome to my world!

your beauty shines through and for this i am grateful – it strengthens my resolve, my faith, my spirit and makes me pray to know others like you whose beauty is the light of the world. Your fruit is refreshing for a parched soul who looks to the heavens and begs God to never leave…never leave…never leave.

  2. Hello, Brett. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read at yours so far and will come back later to read more. You have a strong voice.
